Lamb Shank alla Milanese (RM32), braised NZ lamb shank with fresh Italian herbs, garlic, tomato, mushroom and red wine. I had this during my last visit here and the quality of this dish is well maintained.
The lamb shank was braised with red wine to reduce the gamey smell of the lamb. I personally feel that the outer layer of the lamb shank tasted a bit hard but beneath it’s quite tender and I prefer more sauce to go with this dish. The mash potato that came together as side dish definitely worth mentioning.

The side dish combinations which serve together with the lamb shank might be different as the owner will use appropriate ingredients which are available at that particular moment. As you can compare the side dishes from both of my visits.

Scallops Glatine (RM28 for half dozen) is my favourite dish of the day. Baked scallops topped with mushroom, cream and Mozzarella cheese. The cream and the cheese blended so well with the sweetness of the mushroom and scallop.

Some bonito flakes were used to garnished the scallops and it definitely added a certain amount of fragrant to it. Each bite of the scallop gave so much satisfaction. Can I have more? Hehe…

Baked Oyster Vesuvio (RM28 for half dozen). Baked oyster topped with fresh marinated tomato, sweet pepper and melted cheese. The oysters were big and fresh.

Comparing to the scallop, baked oyster tasted less creamy.

Pollo alla Cacciatora (RM 22) is baked whole leg chicken with extra virgin olive oil, green pepper and wine. I found that this dish is pretty normal which look like ayam rendang with nasi briyani.

You may not be able to find this dish in the menu as the owner decided to remove this dish.

Pizza Rustica – The toppings used were anchovies and capers. The pomodoro sauce used was quite sourly which made the pizza quite appetizing. The only drawback was the anchovies. It tasted too salty which I feel that the taste don’t actually blend well with the pizza.

This dish was removed from the menu too.

Salmon Simone (RM28) is a pretty interesting dish. The marinated fresh salmon fillet was topped with orange basil sauce. The sauce is creamy yet appetizing due to the presence of a hint of orange flavor.

The orange basil sauce taste might be slightly over powering and cover the original salmon taste. But it’s acceptable for me. The orange colour, triangle shaped is actually fried mash potato. The mash potato was very smooth.

Italliano’s Combination (RM 39.80) consisted of baked mozzarella Aust steak and seafood with fresh Italian herbs and extra virgin olive oil. The prawn would be the star in this dish. The original flavour and sweetness of the prawn was well maintained. A hint of pepper taste enhanced the prawn flavour to the max.

The fish tasted slightly too salty to me. The serving size of this dish is very generous. I think it easily can be shared by 2 person.

I’m going to separate another post for desserts as I want to avoid too lengthly post. So, stay tune as the desserts are heavenly.
