Birthday girl chose to have her birthday dinner at Manila Place, Gurney Plaza. Initially I suggested Chili’s hoping to give her a birthday surprise where the Chili’s Restaurant’s staff will sing her a birthday song and compliment her a birthday cake just like the Hard Rock Cafe Birthday Dinner.
But Birthday girl wanted to have light dinner and she prefer Manila Place. Well, birthday girl is the queen of the night right. So Manila Place it is.
Browsing thru the menu, I got attracted by the 100% fresh fruit juice with NO sugar added.
Birthday girl and me ordered Pineapple + guava + orange + lemon (if I remember correctly). It tasted sourish with minimal sweetness. So tasty yet healthy!
The carrot + lemon juice tasted weird
Carrot taste does not blend with lemon.

Since birthday girl wanted to eat light, she ordered only sandwich. The sandwich is pretty standard. Oh! I love the side dish (potato wedges). The outer layer is very crispy and the inner potato is fluffy.

Seafood Tom Yam Noodle doesn’t disappoint us. The soup is sourish and not very spicy.

It comes with mussels, prawns, mushrooms and some chicken breast fillet.

My friend is so excited to see the big prawns and asked me to snap a picture of it.

I ordered fruit salad. I love this fruit salad especially the tangy orange like salad dressing. It’s very appetizing! The lettuce and fruits are fresh as well.

The restaurant is lighted with warm light and very comfortable to dine in. It’s a cosy place for a romantic couple dinner or a gathering dinner of friends and colleagues.

Did you have just the fruit salad?? Or together with the tomyam noodles as well? I’ve long given up on ordering tomyam at outlets like this and Secret Recipe, they always most definitely disappoint. But I do remember having a good impression of the fried rice at Manila Place… hmm, time to revisit!
