Allie’s been missing in action for quite sometime. Hope that my readers will forgive me as I’ve been caught up with something lately and it took lots and lots of my time. However, I managed to take a break from the tedious schedule.
This place is suitable for breakfast and also tea time. This is one of the gem in Penang Island. It’s just a simple stall located at a small alley in Campbell Street but it’s always crowded with people. Are you wondering now what food do they sell? Scroll down… but most Penangnites will know when they see the first picture.
Without any target eating place to go in a cloudy Saturday morning, we drove aimlessly from Bayan Lepas heading to Georgetown area and hoping to find some good food to fill our empty stomach. My bf make a turn after we passed E-gate. I suddenly recalled I’ve read from some food blogs that there’s a curry mee stall opposite Lam Wah Ee Hospital which worth a try.
Yeah! We’ve got a destination in mind and no longer need to drive around when our stomach is crying for food.
We make 2 wrong turns as we can’t locate any coffee shop opposite Lam Wah Ee. It’s quite hidden due to the low zinc roof top. Look out for the Lee Huat Cafe sign if you wanted to find this place.
Joo Leong Cafe is a famous place where many people working in FIZ area will take their breakfast here.
This coffee shop is located on the way to Penang Airport, but it’s barely noticeable if you were driving along the way. But you can always spot the long stretched cars parking by the road side, all those are their customers.
This coffee shop is famous for it’s toasted bread (roti bakar) and half boiled egg. While waiting for our bread and egg to be served, we grabbed a packed of economic noodle to fill our hungry stomach.
