Lor Mee

Special Lor Mee

When I said ‘Lor Mee‘, I guess you’d imagine thick gravy with some herbs and spices taste bowl of noodle. Today I’d like to write about a special bowl of lor mee.

You can get this ‘special lor mee’ at Kafe Fountain which is located along Carnarvon Street.

Dry Koay Teow & Lor Mee @ Greenlane; Penang Hawker Food

Without any target eating place to go in a cloudy Saturday morning, we drove aimlessly from Bayan Lepas heading to Georgetown area and hoping to find some good food to fill our empty stomach. My bf make a turn after we passed E-gate. I suddenly recalled I’ve read from some food blogs that there’s a curry mee stall opposite Lam Wah Ee Hospital which worth a try.

Yeah! We’ve got a destination in mind and no longer need to drive around when our stomach is crying for food. :P

We make 2 wrong turns as we can’t locate any coffee shop opposite Lam Wah Ee. It’s quite hidden due to the low zinc roof top. Look out for the Lee Huat Cafe sign if you wanted to find this place.

Instant Cook Koay Teow Teng @ Kimberley Street ; Penang Hawker Food

Recently I am so into koay teow teng. My favourite would be the one at Pulau Tikus Market and at Jalan Samak. Both soup base tasted good.

This koay teow teng is slighty different from both mentioned above as this is instant cook type. It’s located at Seng Thor Coffee Shop at Kimberley Street.

My bowl of instant cook koay teow teng which you can see it’s floaded with ingredients. There are some minced meat, pork liver, fishball and sliced pork in it. With only RM 3 a bowl, it’s really a steal!
